Dissolved Moses Blah's Government Makes Several nominations to Transitional Government In Liberia

This paper has reliably learnt that in line with the recently signed Accra peace agreement, the former NPP-led government has made several nominations to fill its allocated slots in the incumbent National Transitional Government of Liberia (NTGL).


According to our sources, the nominations made by the recent past GOL include: Eugene Lenn Nagbe, Minister of Posts and Telecommunication; Dr. Peter S. Coleman, Minister of Health & Social Welfare; Mr. Daniel L. Chea, Minister of National Defense; former Maryland County Superintendent H. Dan Morias, who has been elevated to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs, and Mr. Christian G. Herbert, Minister of Planning & Economic Affairs.


Also our sources disclosed that the former GOL has nominated for its NTGL Deputy Ministerial slots: Mr. Thomas M. Goba, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Nyah Manten, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Commerce & Industry; Mr. Emmanuel Crawford, Deputy Minister for Revenue, Ministry of Finance; Mr. Abel M. Massalay, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.


Others in this category are Theophilus C. Gould, Deputy Minister/Solicitor-General, Ministry of Justice; Mr. George Howe, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Labor; M r. Mulbah Willie, Deputy Minister for Operations, Ministry of Lands, Mines & Energy; Mr. Moses Kpawee, Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Ministry of Public Works; Mr. Lawrence George, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of State, and Mr. Geevon Smith, Deputy Minister for Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport.


For Assistant Ministerial jobs, our sources disclosed the names of the following as the former GOL’s nominees; Mr. Sekou A. Fahnbulleh, Assistant Minister for Planning & Research, Ministry of Posts & Telecommunication; Mr. Jimmy Nyawapulu, Assistant Minister for Social Services, Ministry of Health & Social Welfare; Mr. Roland Duo, Assistant Minister for Coast Guard Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, and Mr. Nathan Horace, Assistant Minister, Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Mr. Joseph Z. Freeman, Assistant Minister for Statistics, Ministry of Planning & Economic Affairs; Mr. Alex Mulbah, Assistant Minister for Extension Services, Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Onu Adighibi, Assistant Minister for Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry; Mr. David Kolleh, Assistant Minister for Debt Management & Expenditure, and Mr. Ambrose Gbormie, Assistant Minister for Afro-Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


Concluding the former GOL’s nominations for Assistant Ministerial jobs in the Gyude Bryant-led administration, according to our sources, are :Mr. Saa R. Gbollie, Assistant Minister for Rehabilitation, Ministry of Justice; Mr. George Mulbah, Assistant Minister for Trade Union Affairs, Ministry of Labor; Mr. Albert Chie, Assistant Minister for Exploration & Research, Ministry of Lands, Mines & Energy; Mr. Jessie Gbeyanue, Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Public Works; Ms. Ellen Natt, Assistant Minister for Social Services, Ministry of State, and Mr. Bill Aston, Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Transport.


In closing its executive branch nominations in the transitional government, our sources said the former GOL has nominated Mr. J. Allison Barco, Director-General, Liberia Broadcasting System; Mr. Joseph Mayah, Managing Director, Liberia Electricity Corporation; Mr. Edwin M. Snowe, Managing Director, Liberia Petroleum Refining Corporation (LPRC); Mr. Roger Woodson, Managing Director, Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation; Mr. Kolubahzizi Howard, Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Liberia Telecommunications Corporation, and Mr. Francis Paye, Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Liberia Produce Marketing Corporation.
