“We have enlisted the support of former Auditor General John Morlu, II to lead our campaign fundraising efforts and provide financial management insights as a Consultant to the campaign Committee,” UP Standard Bearer Joseph Boakai confidently and excitedly announced the appointment of Morlu recently.
Morlu is noted for his uncompromising stance in battling corruption head-on without fear and favor.The Morlu’s appointment comes at a crucial time of Liberia’s pending October 10, 2023, elections, when there is a compelling need to rally financial and volunteering support among Liberians everywhere in the world to boost Liberia’s only hope, the Rescue Team, to rescue the nation effectively and efficiently from its debilitating ills. Liberia, the second independent black nation is lagging nations in most areas due to prevailing rampant corruption in the nation.
“Mr. Morlu’s renowned expertise in combatting corruption and his deep understanding of financial management,” VP Boakai maintained, “make him [Morlu] an invaluable asset to our team.”
“Together, we will make significant strides towards our shared goals, inspiring trust and confidence in our supporters…” JNB noted. VP Boakai’s appointment of Morlu swells up social media platforms and local radio stations with overwhelming positive feedback.  One of the media platforms captured: “Wow, the real audit shall soon begin, because the political will is eminent.” Andrew Kromah posted on the Class Reloaded Platform.

Since the announcement of Morlu by JNB, an impeccable source revealed to this platform that present and former government officials are determinedly ringing Rescue Team camp and AG Morlu lines nearly every day and in Monrovia, Nicodemusly crawl nightly expressing support and willing to immediately start contribution to the fundraising effort headed by the former Corruption fighting Czar.
For his part, Morlu promised donors that their hard-earned donations will be 100% protected and used for the purpose for which they have given. He indicated that the goals for the fundraising are for campaign infrastructure, a campaign in all parts of Liberia, protecting votes-poll watchers, and Voter Roll Monitoring and Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
He then admonished Liberians to take a stand, get involved, and act, instead of just talking and talking about how the Weah’s government has messed things up and taken Liberia backward 100 years with multiple misadventures and thievery. “We are tired of hearing the complaints,” he asserted.
“We have to be at the table, take initiative, and support the process, or else incapable, incompetent, grossly unprofessional people of the lowest character will constantly decide our lives for us,” Morlu asserted. Morlu advised donors that they can choose to make their donations anonymous or public. In any event, only Joe Boakai will see their donations and thank them for their active support. “We do not want to see you unjustly punished by Weah for your right to donate. Be not wary and be courageous,” Morlu advised.
Aside from donations, Morlu called on Liberians to consider volunteering their time and skills to support Joe Boakai’s campaign. He indicated that they can offer assistance by organizing events, canvassing, vote monitoring, poll watching, phone banking, or providing technical expertise.
The former AG averred that relevant government experience counts. Real education and proven skills matter. Joe Boakai is proven and tested and has enormous integrity and standing. Liberia, he lamented, is headed in the wrong direction and must be rescued by the capable hands of Joe Boakai and other patriotic Liberians with their hearts, souls, and donations of their money and time. “Make no mistake, this election is between Joe Boakai and George Weah. And by all accounts, JNK is the front-runner in the ensuing 2023 Presidential Elections. He has the masses’ support, the capable hands to put Liberia in forward gear, and the willpower, and the technological solutions.
