On Monday, 25 June, Measuagoon in collaboration with the Stephen Cashin family and the Bethel Outreach Church, Ghana, dedicated a twelve-hole sanitation facility at the Liberian Refugee Budumbura Camp on the outside of Accra. The facility will bring much needed relief to the 25,000 Liberian refugees at the camp whose limited waste facility can no longer accommodate the camp's residents. At a simple ceremony at the Bethel church, the facility was dedicated to the many long years of service to Africa of Mr. C. Payne Lucas, outgoing President of Africare and Mr. Cashin's late father who served as President of CARE, International. The event was blessed with the presence of Mrs. Bright-Parker, also Mr. Lucas and other members of the Board of the Modern Africa Fund Managers including Mr. Steve Cashin and Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Founder of Measuagoon.

The Measuagoon National Coordinator has indicated that Measuagoon has been trying to commence the construction of similar facilities at the Ricks Institute Displaced Camp but is facing difficulties in the demand for a US$30 fee and evidence of its legal status as an NGO. Measuagoon notes with regrets that it is thus being prohibited from helping the suffering people of Liberia.
