An international media protection organization, Reporters without Borders has expressed concern about the closure of the offices of the independent FORUM Newspaper.

In a telephone conversation with the paper’s Managing Editor, Mr. Augustus B. Fallah, Monday, a representative of the organization revealed that they had called in to find out about the general conditions of staffers of the paper since the battle waged by some enemies of “good information” started.

He urged The FORUM management to keep the courage of good reporting as the organization is in touch with all happenings in Liberia. He promised to keep the line open to ascertain what is happening to the offices, management and staff of The FORUM newspaper.

The Monrovia Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice Friday ordered the closure of the
offices of The FORUM until its management can pay a fine of Two Hundred United States
Dollars (US 200.00)
