Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas Resolution of the 13th Annual Convention

We, the citizens of Liberia originating from Grand Gedeh County and residing in the Americas, having convened in the City of Silver Spring, Maryland to discuss issues that relate to the development of Grand Gedeh County and peace in Liberia, do hereby resolved:
1. To extend the life of the Gedeh Fund for an additional two year period to facilitate the provision of assistance to the people of Grand Gedeh County.
2. To support an arrangement whereby the government of President Charles Taylor is replaced by an interim administration if elections are not held in October, 2003.
3 To commit ourselves to working with other Liberian organizations and the international community to find a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Liberia. We are calling other Liberians, including our friends from Nimba County to join us in this endeavor.
4. To renew our commitment to help rebuild Grand Gedeh County and provide relief assistance to our people.
