Former president Moses Z. Blah has said that the former GOL will exert every effort to bring lasting peace to Liberia. He said as head of the former Government of Liberia, he will collaborate and cooperate with relevant groups including the United States Government, the International Community, the African Union, ECOWAS and the National Transitional Government of Liberia (NTGL) to fully implement the comprehensive Accra peace accord.

Mr. Blah made the statement during the week when he met with nominees of the former GOL at his Paynesville residence, outside Monrovia. He said the Accra peace accord calls for equal treatment of the various warring factions and pointed out that no government nominee will be molested or harassed as is being perceived in certain quarters.
Former president Blah who is also the standard-bearer of the National Patriotic Party(NPP) assured the group’s nominees that their positions will not be tampered with in any way by any group unless it was necessary for his office to do so in the interest of peace.

He then setup a three-man committee headed by Solicitor General-designate Counselor Theophilus Gould to investigate, and report to him in two days, claims that some government nominees have been denied the right to take their respective offices in the NTGL.
