Liberia's Justice Ministry Planned Training Program

Justice Minister Cllr. Kabineh M. Ja’neh says the Ministry of Justice
will shortly organize a training program for County Attorneys and City Solicitors
who are trainable.
Minister Ja’neh made the remarks yesterday during an acquaintance meeting
with County Attorneys and City Solicitors from around the country.
He said the training of County Attorneys and City Solicitors is one of his
major priorities as Minister of Justice, but maintain that it will be done
on the basis of only those that are trainable.
Minister Ja’neh furthered that the Ministry of Justice will focus on
those things that will help bring about judicial reform and make the dispensation
of justice a reality.
He noted that after 14 years of brutal civil conflict, Liberia will like to
see a justice system in place that will bring about transparency, through
that he stressed, Liberian can be assured of genuine reconciliation.
The Attorney General who is the Dean of the Bar of the Honorable Supreme Court
of Liberia pointed out that his administration will not permit any appointment
outside of the Ministry of Justice as done in the past.
He further made it clear that one of the fundamental principles in laws is
the Due Process, and as such anyone who by their own negligent will violate
the rights of individual(s) will be made to give an account.
He called on the county attorneys and city solicitors to coordinate better
working relationship and work as a team.
The County Attorneys and City Solicitors on their part thanks the Minister
for the meeting and promise they will work with the Minister in achieving
his goal as Minister of Justice.
