Liberian New Leader Makes New Appointments In Government

The transitional head of the Liberian government, Chairman Gyude Bryant has
made new appointments in government.
Those appointed are Professor Willie Belleh, Chief of Staff and Director of
the Cabinet; Mr. Blamoh Nelson, Senior Advisor to the Chairman on the Scrupulous
implementation of the Peace Accord and Mr. Harry A. Greaves, Advisor to the
Chairman on Economic Affairs.
Others are Ambassador Fred Bass-Golokeh, Advisor to the Chairman on International
Affairs; Mr. Isaac Yonly, Assistant Minister for Special Services, Mrs. Sia
Luseni, Private Secretary to the Chairman; Mr. Jacob Mendscole, Security Consultant
to the Chairman, and Rt. General Philip B. Karmah, Advisor to the Chairman on
Military Affairs.
Meanwhile, the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy (LURD) has
announced its nominees for Cabinet positions in the NTGL.
Reports reaching this paper late yesterday evening said LURD has nominated four
of its staunch members to fill the cabinet positions allotted to them according
to the Accra Accord.
Those nominated are Mr. Lusine Kamara as Finance Minister; Mr. Varmah Kanneh
as Transport Minister, Cllr. Kabineh Janneh as Minister of Justice, and Cllr.
Lavalla Supuwood is to serve as Labour Minister.
