Confusion from the row between the two men disrupted the gathering with most of the delegates accusing Mr. Urey of trying to use his influence in society to manipulate the electoral process.
However, the row that ensued between Mr. Benoni Urey and a delegate at the
Montserrado County elections for a representative of the county to the National
Transitional Legislative Assembly, has been resolved.
The chairman of the Montserrado County election commission, Mr. C. Neileh
Naituah could not comment on what prompted the alleged fight between the two
men on grounds that he was out of the edifice of the Monrovia City Hall when
the incident happened.
But Mr. Cooper told a press interview Tuesday that the matter between him and Urey has been solved.
He however declined to say exactly how the matter was resolved but stressed that all is now well and there is no longer a misunderstanding between them.
Mr. Urey could not be reached up to press time, but information gathered by this paper also suggests that both men have resolved their dispute and were together recently.
